I was in search of some high quality carpet and I received excellent help from The Decorator’s Edge. They have a really great brand and selection. I found the New Zealand wood that I had been looking for. They had good prices and a fantastic show room. The show room was nicely displayed with wide open spaces, where you could work individually or get help from a professional. It was very modern and clean and had a lovely display.
For one of my projects I was trying to get carpet on our stairway that was not a solid step (the original carpet had been cut in) and the way it was installed was very important to giving it a nice edge look. I never thought I would use a decorator and was very intimidated by the process. Diane Lackey, from The Decorator’s Edge, came to the house the day I bought it and made me feel at ease. She helped me in deciding new colors and carpet, more furniture, artwork, bed covers and window treatments! After the first meeting, Diane understood me and what I liked and didn’t like. Eric is very detailed oriented and has an excellent memory. He always remembered everything we talked about, whether he wrote it down or not. Just from glancing around a room, Eric is able to make a mental note of everything and never misses a detail.
The last project that I completed with The Decorator’s Edge was my bathroom and master bedroom. We completely redid both rooms and sat down and picked out everything from the tile to the furniture. along with his wife, Diane as our decorators. We bought new furniture, drapes, carpet, rugs, lamps …….everything and couldn’t be happier. They were absolutely fabulous. They understood our likes and didn’t try to push anything that was not in our taste range or our price range. I can not say enough good things about them and their talent. Diane and Eric are personable, organized, talented, and professional. My relationship with them goes back 27 years and we’ve worked on projects ranging from building and furnishing a new house; updating that house some years later; restoring a historic home 6 years ago; and most recently choosing colors and fabrics; furniture; and shutters and blinds for a vacation home. They have the talent and the resources to provide turn-key/from scratch/whole house service, yet they are also willing to help you with small projects.
